By time, reading and searching, you will find this life fearful and awesome at the same time, you will only discover this if you give yourself a chance to go out from your comfort zone. I have always thought it is a nice life, all people love each other, I can do every thing I want in any time, and I was always positive. But life is never the way we think whether from the good or the bad side.

When I was younger, I wanted to be an English teacher. It was in middle school in 7th grade when miss Mariam who I really respect and like was my teacher.

But when I grew up a little I said: “No way! I will never be a teacher!” When I entered high school, I started to notice everything especially people and how they deal with others. In 10th grade, I didn’t like my English teacher so much, she was treating me as a good student, whose sisters were in Britten one day and their English is very good, she thought I was like them. Yes I was good in English, but she always says: “YES SOMAYA, WHAT IS THE ANSWER?” A lot of times I didn’t know the answer but stand up silently. I hated this. Why is she treating me as how she was treating my sisters? Because of this I was afraid if I were a teacher one day, i might be like her and my students might not like me. This is one of a lot reasons that made me join another school, and hate to be a teacher- in that period.

I thought all teachers are similar, but they are not. There is a teacher that made me hate physics, for example, but another one made me play it like a game.

But now in my opinion: Everyone is a teacher. whether s/he likes it or not. Maybe s/he is a good one, and maybe a bad one; maybe teaches something good, and maybe not; maybe students like him/her, and maybe they do not. So, we have to work more and more to be good persons and teachers, if not at a real school, it will be for people who emulate us.

I want to be a special and different teacher. I am not sure if I am going to be an English teacher or anything else, but I’m working so hard to be a teacher that will always do good and be good and teach good.

These days, I am trying to learn more about everything, by:

1) Watching documentary films;

2) Reading articles;

3) and Discussing some points, I feel I don’t understand, with my family.

Of course there are a lot of other ways I can improve myself by using them, but these are what I do for now.

I believe that CHANGE starts with a person who wants the best for everyone. So be the the change and be good because despite of everything, YOU ARE A TEACHER.
